Welcome

Learning is a never-ending journey. I've learned much from my mentors, from the wise sages in my life. I feel it is important to share and pass along some of what I have learned – and continue to learn. I believe we are all responsible for smoothing the path for those who come after us. And I know that we are all connected and here to support one another.

My purpose is to:

  • Improve organizational effectiveness through individual development
  • Improve individual effectiveness through organizational development

Who lifts you up?

Who lifts you up?  Whenever I hear the song, "You Raise Me Up" by Josh Groban, I always pause to remember who lifts me up.  The people who emerge in my mind are the sages of my life; the wise people who have taken me under their wings and shared their wisdom and insights with me.  Many of them are teachers, but all of them have taught me many things and I realize I would not be who I am or where I am without them.  They raise me up to be more than I can be.

Some of these people are no longer walking the earth.  But through memories, their legacies are still alive and can continue to teach me.  If they are still here, I try to take the time to thank them whenever possible.  If they are no longer physically with me, then I thank them when I think of them.  They live on in my memory and I believe they continue to guide me.

It never fails.  Whenever I hear "You Raise Me Up," this is what I am thinking.  My conclusion is that blogging is a way to share our thoughts with others.  What are you thinking?
